Hey Balanced Runners –
Congrats to the Balanced Running family members that ran races last weekend!
Coach Tina thought it would be nice to bring the feeling of Texas training to you, so she ordered a nice, warm, and humid morning for tomorrow – HEE HAW!! Be sure to dress appropriately and bring your water bottle.
You’ll also want to bring a mat if you don’t want to do the strength session in the dirt. See you “Bright & Ugly!”
Warm-Up:
• ROM routine
• Warm-up exercises (hip circles, leg hugs)
Workout:
1. 10:00 easy run
2. Skill work 2 rounds of the following:
(scale as appropriate from 20m to 50m)
– Easy Skip / “jog” / stride / walk
– A – Skip / “jog” / stride / walk (alternate is skipping for height)
– B – Skip (Skip Kicks) / “jog” / stride / walk (alternate is skipping for distance)
– Butt Kicks / “jog” / stride / walk (you may only kick your own butt )
– Carioca (Grapevine) / “jog” / stride / walk
3. 3 x Hill Repeats (Coach Dale has already selected the hill)
